SDC programme was established in 2019 by its director Pablo Puime Picos, Born and raised in the north of Spain, Pablo played and coached at a semi professional level, before moving to Australia in 2014 in pursuit of a new adventure. Hungry to share his knowledge and passion for the game.
After a few years of coaching a range of different age groups, and acquiring a through understanding of the levels, structure, and culture of football in Australia, Pablo founded SDC with a vision to start an academy that could focus on a more detailed programme to develop young individuals. The aim was not only to enhance their game understanding while channelling their physical and emotional growth, but also to focus on their individual skills and technique such as their footwork skills, passing, shooting, dribbling & motor skills.
Since the very beginning, SDC has been fortunate to have had the
opportunity to add valuable coaching staff to its setup. All coaches see
and understand the game and its development pathway, in the very same
way as the principles laid out by SDC when it was first founded.
We have always believed in inviting and integrating an array of coaches with different backgrounds, nationalities, and styles to the academy. We do this because we strongly believe they can bring with them a wealth of experiences, brought on after playing in different countries, under different coaches, and after having been asked to integrate and play under different styles and systems.
SDC’s current coaching staff come from predominantly from Spain and South America.
